Departure from Cusco to Challacancha to begin the trek. Uphill hike to the spectacular Humantay Lake to admire its turquoise waters at the foot of the glacier. In the afternoon, descent to the base camp in Soraypampa for dinner and an overnight stay under the stars.
Hotel pickup in Cusco and private transfer to the town of Mollepata. (30m)
Early climb to Salkantay Pass (4,630 m / 15,190 ft) for priceless panoramic views of the Andes. Gradual descent transitioning from high mountain ecosystem to Chaullay's cloud forest, followed by transport to Hidroeléctrica and a gentle walk along the railway tracks to Aguas Calientes.

Early ascent to the historical sanctuary of Machu Picchu. A 2.5-hour guided tour exploring the main temples, agricultural terraces, and viewpoints of the Inca citadel. Free time for photos, followed by a train ride back to Ollantaytambo with final transfer to Cusco.
